Parts

Parts is the entire base of the game, and where you will focus your efforts for the start of the game.
There are 6 parts in the game: Body, Head, Gills, Tail, Fin, and Limbs.
Each part helps you progress in the game, and will have it's own features of reset, upgrades, and more.

Game Contents

Growth: The first 3 parts of the axolotl, contains node trees, mini games, and the start to your journey!

Expansion: The continuation of Growth, with the last 4 parts of the Axolotl boosting your progress and reaching a fully grown Axolotl!

Mutation: A reset based mechanic that brings your Axolotl back to a baby and unlocks many new features

Awakening: Goes in hand with Mutation, involves many new mini games such as mining, that help you progress, but also have a new experience.

Creation of Axomorph Idle

I first decided in March of 2023 that I wanted to created something cool, something for Steam that actually meant something. So I started out with a prototype looking at the Godot editor.

This prototype used an exponential system (that I eventually changed into the break eternity library)
It shows a basic script that I created that does the main function of an incremental game: Increment your income.

After this, I started working on the main pages, and Growth as listed above
Finally, I then did a UI update, and prepared to launch the demo for Axomorph Idle
